This is out in November 2014 and advance reading copies landed last week. Never having been a fan of Lewis but being a big fan of Bragg, I’ve been eager to dip in and see what Bragg’s up to. First thoughts:

I think this might play out to be some kind of Southern culture epic. Just 15 pages in, Bragg has woken up both my ears and my heart. Check out this early performance by Jerry Lee (advice: for the full Killer effect, make the video as big as you can):
