While we seem to be constantly moving the publishing schedule for books, every once in a while there are a few titles that booksellers start asking after. So here’s what I know about two much-anticipated releases:
This was due June 16th but is postponed and will be sold in a future season so that Gay can do a little more work on finishing up the book.
Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body (9780062362599) by Roxane Gay. $25.99 hardcover.
One of my very favorite books of the year. It was originally scheduled for March and is now shaping up to be one of the biggest books of the fall. It will go one sale October 4th with a huge marketing campaign. Turns out everyone who reads this loves it, the latest fan and advocate being Charles Frazier–no slouch himself when it comes to moving, action-packed historical fiction:
A powerful, richly-realized journey….Captain Kidd belongs in the pantheon of great Western characters along with True Grit’s Rooster Cogburn and Lonesome Dove’s Gus and Call.”
News of the World (9780062409201) by Paulette Jiles. $22.99 hardcover.
