Short Take: Royal Wedding – Meg Cabot

Cabot returns to her bestselling and enormously popular Princess Diaries series on the 15th anniversary of the first installment. I think many readers will feel like bookseller Carol Schneck Varner at Schuler Books and Music who wrote me that after all these years, she just had to find out how it all turns out. Advance reviews suggest that fans of the series won’t be disappointed.

Schuler is also handling presales of the book. You can order a signed copy here.

“Cabot has a knack for hilarious dialogue and zany characters, but she also creates a story that’s full of heart. Fans who grew up with Mia will relish this opportunity to spend more time in her world. This funny, heartwarming story is royally perfect from start to finish.”
Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

“[A] whirlwind of jaw-dropping, hilarious, and occasionally touching events. Original fans of the series, now adults themselves, will be thrilled with this, but it will be enjoyable for those on either side of Cabot’s extensive fan base.”

“Whether you’re a die-hard fan of the Princess Diaries, or just looking for a fun story that doesn’t insult your intelligence, Royal Wedding delivers the goods! As you might guess from the title, Michael Moscowitz pops the question to Princess Mia – but nothing in the life of a 21st-century princess is ever simple, with politics, paparazzi and family secrets complicating the course of true love. Light-hearted and thoroughly entertaining!
